Nigeria Actuarial Society: Development Of Students Mon, Dec 30th, 2013 - 03:47:53 AM

I have been privileged to represent the Institute of Actuaries in Nigeria and conduct her examinations for a number of years now.

Our actuarial community is growing and Nigeria’s recent adoption of IFRS has significantly (and immediately) increased local actuarial demand. We believe this demand is not only sustainable in the future but will also increase. Thus we need to react through encouraging the growth of our student population, their access to study materials and success in exams.

It is in view of the above that I write on behalf of NAS, to explore ways ActEd can possibly assist our growing student population, for instance through:

  •  Reduced fees
  • Webcast tutorials
  • In-Person tutorial visits etc.
I would be grateful for your kind prompt response.
With Kind Regards.

Yours Sincerely,

Rotimi Okpaise
